Appointments

For established patients, Drs. Zarek and Donohue are generally available for an appointment within 2 days. We generally can make time for more urgent same-day visits. For new patients, our wait time is approximately 6 weeks. From time to time, we may close the practice to new patients, in order to best serve our established patients.

Our typical sick visit or follow-up visit is 15 minutes with the doctor. A typical new patient visit or a visit in which complex issues must be addressed is approximately 30 minutes with the doctor.

For most patients over 40, we prefer to have a once a year "full physical" appointment. For a full physical, we allot 45 minutes of our time, and we have the opportunity to explore in more depth any health maintenance issues required.

Note that due to the unpredictable nature of our schedule, and due to varying patient needs, the time you spend with the doctor might be more or (less frequently) less than the above time allotments.

The following is our suggestions of things you can do to help you visit be as productive as possible:

1. Bring in all your medicines or a list of all your medicines, including dosage
2. When possible, get your lab work or studies 3-7 days prior to the appointment so we have time to receive the results
